    Machine Wash

    Wash soiled products within 3 days. Do not leave items unwashed longer than this to prevent odor and bacteria buildup.

    Before washing, rinse heavily soiled pads under cold running water until the water runs clear. Pretreat creams or oil-based stains with a drop of blue Dawn dish soap, gently hand wash the area, and rinse thoroughly. Place small or delicate items inside a mesh laundry bag to prevent them from getting lost or caught in your machine.

    Machine wash in cold water using a reputable detergent; we recommend Tide Original. Start with a cold pre-wash using about ¼ of the recommended detergent amount. Follow with a heavy-duty wash (longest cycle) in warm water up to 140°F / 60°C, using the full recommended amount of detergent. Add other laundry items for proper bulk. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners.

    Hand Wash

    Rinse under cold running water until clear. Wash in a sink or basin with detergent, agitate gently, soak for 10 minutes, and rinse thoroughly.

    Drying

    Air dry whenever possible to maintain shape and performance. If using a dryer, tumble on low heat and avoid over-drying to prevent shrinking, damage, or unnecessary wear.

    My experience in a few months

    Made a special little request in the instructions at checkout and Lil Helper was kind enough to make it happen! Even sent an order update to notify me about the change. They truly do care about their customers. Thank you so much!

    Order was processed and shipped within 2 days and arrived in 1 day. Pleasantly surprised by the speed.

    Some long threads were sticking out of the pads, but since everything was sewn securely, I just trimmed them off, no problem.

    A couple of the silicon dots do occasionally fall off, so time will tell how long those will last. They’re also orange and have stained the combo bag I store my pads in. Haven’t noticed the dots staining my underwear, but it’s something to be cautious about.

    Got regular and heavy and they do show through leggings, but I think it’s mainly due to the thick seam creating an outline.

    They’re soft and comfortable to wear. The back doesn’t fold in on itself like flimsy disposables do.

    Blood absorbs quickly and it does not feel wet unless it’s full or there’s a big gush or lining/clots. With disposables, I’d go to the washroom and sometimes find blood on my inner thigh/groin area, but not with these hyps pads!

    It’s also true that there’s no foul odour. Maybe just a slight inoffensive scent when close up.

    The best part? I haven’t stained my clothes or furniture since switching! AND I can lie on my back without worry!

    I gently hand wash the pads and they air-dry pretty quickly (~12h). No noticeable stains after 5 cycles. However, the pattern layer has pulled/frayed away from the seams in two spots of one heavy pad. I’ve checked the others and they don’t yet show signs of doing the same. Surprised this happened so soon.. I’ll have to try and patch it back up..

    I’ve noticed that the blood collects around where the vulva meets the pad and tends to leak over the corner of the wings onto my underwear. It’s unfortunate since it looks like the pad can hold a lot more if it just distributed the blood better. Even when rinsing, blood doesn’t flow out of the back or front. It would be nice if the seams could somehow repel/lock-in the blood too.

    For some reason, even on the tightest button, the pads like to bunch up in the centre, causing me to bleed more on the left or right and risk leaking on that side sooner.

    Like others, I wish the wings were more centred between the front and back of the pads, and that the front was wider to cover more surface area, especially since the pads tend to slide back a lil so I have to occasionally check/adjust to ensure they sit forward enough to not bleed over the seams. The shifting is more noticeable with the reg pads since they’ve got even less surface area in the front. I’ve tried some troubleshooting and what worked for me was flipping the reg pads around on the tightest button. Though, I might just need better fitting underwear for my flat 🍑 😅 Perhaps different material too 🤔

    I wanted period products that I could set and forget, but there’s still some anxiety about these pads sliding back + leaking. One tearing at the seams after only 5 cycles is also tragic.. but at least it can be fixed? 😅 I guess my expectations were higher due to the price tag, but I’m still glad that the pads are non toxic, less wasteful, and economical in the long run. And as mentioned before, I’ll never have to deal with the inconveniences of disposables ever again (like sticky residue ruining my underwear or wings never ripping off cleanly 👹). It also feels nice supporting a small local business owned by good people. I just hope my feedback can help improve hyps pads. If so, I’ll definitely buy the next gen 😊

    Excellent, I'll have your entire stock

    For me, money is tight, and I dread spending $30+ every month on disposable period products. So financially, reusable products are the best option without a doubt. And look, now I don't have to worry about bleach and titanium touching the most precious part of my body, which was a big concern for me when I using disposable. Also the PRINTS, I love the prints. The space dinos are so boyish and fun. They honestly make me feel happy about my period, like it's a time for me to slow down a bit and return to small, simple joys. It's honestly refreshing against the huge market of products sold in hyper-feminine packaging suggesting that we still need to perform this perfect, lovely image even during our periods, which can be so hard. The pads are also super super easy to wash, it takes like 2 minutes by hand at the sink, and my god is it satisfying to watch the water run clear once it's clean. Also this is an extremely thoughtful company, they have one of my favorite social media pages unironically. And no it's NOT weird that a man is one of the faces of the company, because he knows what he's talking about, and he's never condescending when presenting information. He treats women's issues with the ultimate level of care and compassion, and he clearly loves the mission.     I have such a heavy period but I hated spending so much on pads and tampons every month. My period is ultra level heavy where I have to wear and ultra tampon and an overnight pad at the same time and change around every 2-3 hours.

    I bought 3 of the hyps active max pads and I'm using it together with the Fillow menstrual disc to catch any leaks. (I am also a first time disc user as well)

    I put on the pad at 8AM and it's 9:50 and I have no leaks and some of the blood that was there was because at first I didn't wear the Fillow disc. Once in place, the pads are comfortable and absorbent. It's only my 2nd day on my period but my first 3-4 days tend to be very heavy and so far they have held up. THANK YOU for creating such a needed product.

    It's already made my menstrual cycle way more comfortable.

    Best Reusable Pads I've Ever Used!

    Let me start by saying that I am an autistic woman. For autistic people, especially those who menstruate, sensory issues multiply tenfold during periods. On top of the sensory hell that is bleeding, cramping, and wearing period protection, hightened emotions and mood swings also add to the stress. So, for many autistic people like myself, having your period is a lot more involved and stressful than it is for the average neurotypical person. Disposable pads are evil demons from sensory hell. They come unstuck, bunch up into useless wads, leak, smell, feel hot and wet, cause wedgies, make a horrible sound when you open them, etc. Disposable pads are basically a nightmare for a neurodivergent girl like myself. So, for the past two years, I have been using a menstrual cup and some pretty useless reusable pads from Amazon that didn't absorb more than 10mL of fluid. I discovered HyPs pads via Instagram, and I'd been debating whether or not to purchase some for a while. But, after my last period, where I had to resort to overstimulating disposable products again because my reusables couldn't contain my flow, I decided that it was time for an upgrade. So, for my 19th birthday, I bought a weeks worth of HyPs pads. I no longer have to spend my period waddling like a penguin, picking wedgies, or just wearing an adult pull-up diaper because I can't stand disposable pads. I'm free! I know my backstory was long-winded, but I feel it was important to express how much I love these pads! Not only do they work, but they feel like nothing! They don't bunch up or leave adhesive residue on my underwear. They stay in place, even while running, dancing, riding a bike, etc. I don't feel paranoid that I'm leaking because I just know that these pads have my back (and my front). So, thank you Lil helper for making my period more comfortable and way less of a sensory issue! I will be telling all of my friends about this company!

    Comfortable and helpful.

    These are fantastic and comfortable for me, having used them for mutiple rounds. Being a heavy bleeder, having the beads on the back help me feel more secure and it has been able to keep up with my heavy flow. They were also able to hold up to my very active and frantic lifestyle with a full range of movements. I am really grateful!
